Very few albums really put me somewhere I want to be. I am a microphone - cold, dark, handsome...truly native to my surroundings. This album brings marriage right from the starting cap that is The Secret To Quiet. I become thin and frail when the percussion flows over me in There Are Thousands Sleeping in Peace. I am inside a cloud throughout Marianas.

It is also true that I am exactly where I am supposed to be when I listen to this album. On a label I cannot find. From a band I cannot book. From an album that holds me through so many flights and drives.

A true gem lies in the final 2 tracks. Undiscovered Genius of the Mississippi Delta is as narrative as the painting of the same name. Delicate Answer is what makes trees grow. This album is a blink-and-wink that leaves a wake. I am inspiried beyond understanding by this group and this is an ingot that I can't seem to resect.
